|While some attorneys do charge upfront fees, Montross Miller is a firm that represents injured clients on a contingent fee plus cost recovery basis.
A contingent fee is one that is paid out of a recovery (settlement/verdict amount) on the case. If there is no recovery, there are no attorney fees. If there is a recovery, the attorney fee is a percentage of the amount recovered and is paid out of money from the settlement or verdict.
If we take on your case, we are certain to incur costs such as:
- court costs
- expert witness fees
- administrative expenses
- deposition costs
- costs of investigation and information gathering
If there is a recovery, the costs are paid out of money from the settlement or verdict. If there is no recovery, our clients are not obligated to pay those costs.
