36-year-old married father of three young children was killed while riding his motorcycle through a construction zone on 38^th Street. We alleged that the design of the construction zone – along with the negligent upkeep of signage, barriers, and ingresses/egresses to commercial businesses – caused the fatal accident. There were multiple defendants named. After years of litigation involving roadway engineers and construction-zone experts, the case was mediated (twice) and a resolution was reached. The case settled for $2,200,000.
